Conclusions

Negative catalysis by transition metal salts is realized in radical-chain reactions for the oxidation of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, dimethylaminoethy1 propionate, and dime thylbutylamine.

The rate constants for the reaction of the peroxide radicals of these tertiary amines with manganese and copper acetates at 50° were measured.
