Abstract

The evidences for the formation of 1 : 1 : 1 ternary complexes in the system, Fe(III)-nitrilotriacetic acid-bidentate ligand (where bidentate ligands: oxalic acid, tiron, chromotropic acid, 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid) have been cited on the basis of potentiometric studies. The hydrolytic behaviour of these biligand species has also been discussed.
