PMR study of the structure of 2-haloethylbenzenes

Conclusions

An equilibrium with approximately equal contents of trans and gauche conformers relative to the C-C bond is realized for para-substituted 2-haloethylbenzenes in nonpolar media and ambient temperatures, according to PMR spectral data.
