Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Epifluorohydrin is represented in CCl4 by the polar gauche conformer, while the other epihalohydrins are represented by the equilibria of two gauche conformers.

  2. 2.

    The structure of the polar gauche conformers of the epihalohydrins was established.
