Synthesis of bisalkylthio derivatives of cyclopentene and cyclohexene

Conclusions

Alkyl mercaptans react withα-chlorocyclopentanone andα-chlorocyclohexanone to give the corresponding 1,2-bisalkylthiocyclenes.
