Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

Some new adducts of anthracene and of cyclopentadiene with various chloroethylenes were synthesized.

  2. 2.

The dipole moments of the adducts synthesized and of some previously described adducts were measured, and the structures of the adducts were determined.

  3. 3.

Conclusions were reached concerning the factors determining the structure of diene-synthesis adducts.
