Comparison of the heights of the polarographic catalytic hydrogen waves obtained in protein solutions with different drop electrodes; influence of mixing in conditions of the maximum of the second type

Summary

  1. 1.

    A method for comparing heights of the individual stages of a double catalytic wave in a solution of proteins is proposed, based on calculation of the heights of the A1 and A2 waves referred to a standard drop electrode (m=1, t=1). Threshold values of A1 and A2 are estimated, corresponding to the limit of the normal-cancer during polarographic diagnosis of cancer by the filtrate reaction of Brdicka.

  2. 2.

    Mixing of the solution in conditions of a polarographic maximum of the second type leads to increased values for A1 for the protein wave.
