Cyclohexyloxycarbonyl group in the synthesis of prolyl-containing peptides

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

A study was made of the possibilities of applying cyclohexyloxycarbonyl protection of the amino group in peptide synthesis.

  2. 2.

A series of peptides, including the hexapeptide glycyl-L-prolyl-L-alanyl-glycyl-L-propyl-L-alanine, was synthesized.

  3. 3.

It was shown that hexa- and tri-peptides can be separated on Sephadex G-25.

  4. 4.

A discussion is given of some aspects of the acidolytic elimination of ester groupings and protections of the urethan type from amino acids and peptides with the aid of HBr in CH3COOH.
