A comparison of theJ* integral with other methods of post yield fracture mechanics

Abstract

TheJ * integral approach to post yield fracture analysis is compared with a wide variety of other methods by means of experimental testing of specimens invalid in the sense of ASTM. The significance of J* and its relationship to other integrals is discussed.

En procédant à des essais expérimentaux d'éprouvettes non conformes suivant l'ASTM, on compare l'approcheJ intégrale pour analyser la rupture après écoulement plastique avec un large éventail d'autres méthodes. On discute la signification deJ et sa relation avec d'autres intégrales.
