Stress-strain state of fiber bundles in glass-fiber-reinforced concrete structural elements

Abstract

The stress-strain diagrams of glass-fiber bundles working in tension are analyzed. The results for glass fibers in normal conditions and for glass fibers soaked in a saturated Ca(OH)2 solution (to mimic a concrete or cement binder medium) are compared.
