Preparation of hormone-sensitive adipocytes from foetal rat brown adipose tissue

Abstract

A collagenase-dispersion method involving Percoll gradient separation is described for the production of adipocytes from foetal rat brown adipose tissue. The cells produced are hormone-sensitive as judged by cAMP accumulation and lipolysis.
