Personal-social adjustment of school children after five years in a family enrichment program

Abstract

Research on the effects of high quality day care experiences on subsequent personal-social adjustment with teachers and peers suggests that the transition from highly supportive day-care learning environments to public school classrooms with low adult-to-child ratios may present problems for some children.
