Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the stability regions of the control loop of a zero-power reactor for the case where the regulator settings are changed and the mean lifetime of prompt neutrons varies. It is shown how the stability region is affected by the approximation of the reactor's kinetics by two equivalent groups of delayed neutrons.
