Correlated index of lubricating capacity with tests in a four-bearing machine

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A generalized lubricating capacity index has been proposed for the control evaluation of lubricating materials in four-bearing machines.

  2. 2.

The lubricating capacity index is a universal index, and can be used for the characteristics of lubricating materials of different chemical nature, and different composition.

  3. 3.

The lubricating capacity index is determined in a ChShM machine of any type of construction, with small expenditures of time, ball bearings, and lubricating material. Analysis of the experimental material and computation of the lubricating capacity index are not complicated.
