Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

A stochastic representation of changes in the thermodynamic parameters is used to construct a nonlinear variant of the nonequilibrium thermodynamics of scalar processes. The rate and the corresponding derivative of the entropy are related exponentially for states far from equilibrium. This explains, in particular, the law of mass action.
