Conclusions

  1. 1.

The telomerization of vinylidene chloride with 1,1,1,3-tetrachloropropane in the presence of coordination initiators was studied. Here telomer homologs of structure ClCH2-CH2 CCl2(CH2CCl2)nCl, with n = l or 2, were isolated.

  2. 2.

The intermediate radical ClĊHCH2CCl2CH2CHCl2, which is formed from the adduct-radical ClCH2CH2CCl2CH2ĊCl2 as the result of the 1,5-migration of hydrogen, takes part in both chain transfer and chain growth, which leads to obtaining CCl3CH2CHClCH2CCl2CH2CHCl2, an isomer of the telomer with n= 2.
