Conclusions
-
1.
Certain α-aminoketones and nitrogen-substituted 3-aza-l,5-diketones were synthesized.
-
2.
Cyclization of 3-aza-1,5-diketones to the corresponding unsaturated 3-ketopiperidones was carried out successfully in a benzene-aqueous base two-phase system in the presence of a phase-transfer catalyst.
-
3.
N-methyl-and N-tert-butyl-5-tert-butyl-3-piperidones were synthesized.
