Conclusions

  1. 1.

    ω,ω-Dichloropolyene aldehydes react with acetone cyanohydrin in the presence of triethylamine to give ω-chloropolyenoic esters.

  2. 2.

    A new method has been developed for the synthesis of Cl(CH = CH)nCOOR, where n = 2 and 3.
