The effect of calcium to rare-elements cation ratio in Y-zeolites on their catalytic properties

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Catalytic properties of zeolite-Y samples with different contents of calcium and REE cations were studied in the process of alkylation of benzene with ethylene. A high catalytic activity was shown for samples prepared by a simultaneous calcium and REE exchange and for samples prepared by a successive exchange but containing high concentrations of REE.

  2. 2.

    A correlation was found between acidity, adsorption heats of benzene, and acidity of all catalyst samples studied.
