Abstract
General relationships between the coercive force and magnetic susceptibility in weak fields on the one hand and dislocation structure on the other are derived. It is shown that the temperature-dependent behavior of the coercive force and initial susceptibility of silicon iron depend markedly on the type of dislocations present and on the elastic and magnetostrictive anisotropy.
