Electromagnetic wave scattering on a cylinder. High-frequency asymptotic behavior of the internal field

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

Electromagnetic wave scattering on a dielectric multilayer cylinder is studied. It is shown that the asymptotic behavior of the field in the inner layer of the cylinder is a superposition of two flat waves running towards each other. A simple way is found of computing the coefficients of this superposition.
