Abstract

A study was undertaken to develop and evaluate a graduate level course dealing with sexuality and disability for students in the helping professions. The course was structured from reportedly successful elements of previous sexuality programs, and both empirically based measures and subjective reports were utilized in the evaluation. The results indicate that a comprehensive course can be effective in enhancing attitudes and knowledge levels, as well as increasing comfort in dealing with sexual matters. Limitations of the study and areas for additional concern are discussed.
