Abstract
On studying the hormonal properties of vitamin E, the following observations were obtained:
Vitamin E possesses oestrogenic, androgenic and progesterone-like properties. It, moreover, acts synergistically with ovarian hormones and testosterone. The gonadal hormone-like effect of vitamin E and the synergistic action played between them, rendered vitamin E a real antisterility factor.
