Summary
In the Schwann cells of the spinal roots of the rat, localized accumulations of filaments (6–7 nm diam.) have been encountered in the adaxonal cytoplasm. They tend to occur in connection with the inner mesaxon. They may be found in up to 5% of fibres. Their possible relationship with other experimentally induced fibrillary accumulations in cells is discussed.
