New approximate solutions of the problem of the thermomechanics of a hollow cylinder with a material of variable properties

Abstract

We use the method of equivalent sources to obtain approximate solutions of an unrestricted quasistatic axisymmetric problem of the thermomechanics of a long hollow cylinder with ends fastened and materials whose properties depend on the temperature. We perform a comparative analysis of the results with the solutions obtained by the method of perturbations and the method of finite differences.
