Abstract
On the basis of the operator solution of the three-dimensional coupled thermoelasticity problem for a plate we state the main relations of a sharpened version of the theory of thermally stressed thin plates. These relations make it possible to determine all the components of the stress tensor and the corresponding temperature fields.
