Abstract

A new mathematical model is proposed for the description of the stress-strain state of earth structures erected on deformable foundations which contain weak inclusions. The problem is reduced to minimizing the energy functional on the class of functions which may have discontinuity in one of the solution components. The algorithm is based on the finite-element method. The stress-strain state of real objects is analyzed.
