Abstract
Simple asymptotic formulae are presented for the dispersion and attenuation of waves propagating along earth's mantle-core boundary and outer core-inner core boundary. Waves of the SKw, KPwK, and Kd type are considered (where subscript “w” indicates whispering waves and subscript “d” a diffracted wave).
