Abstract

The results are given of an experimental investigation into the aerodynamic characteristics of star-shaped bodies with flat faces at Mach numbers M = 3–5 and angles of attack α = 0–12 ° for different numbers of points of the star and different inner radii at the midsection. It is established that the star-shaped bodies have a much lower total drag than bodies of revolution of equivalent length and midsection area.
