Refinements of Yu. V. Prokhorov's theorems on the asymptotic behavior of the binomial distribution

Abstract

One finds the asymptotic behavior of the minimax distance between the binomial and its approximating normal or Poisson “distributions,” taken with the second terms of their expansions.
