Influence of surface wetting on the dimensions of a vapor bubble

Abstract

As a result of a theoretical analysis simple equations are derived for estimation of the maximum spreading of the base of a bubble and breakoff diameter of the latter for various degrees of wetting of the heating surface by the liquid.
