Abstract

The problem is considered of constructing a semi-infinite axisymmetric body with minimum drag in subsonic flow of an ideal gas. This problem is formulated as the problem of finite-dimensional minimization by prescribing the shape of the body in parametric form and applying the projection method for solving a flow problem.
