Summary

  1. 1.

    Ferrocenylmethyl mercaptan, methyl ferrocenylmethyl sulfide, S-benzoyl(ferrocenylmethyl) mercaptan and S-ferrocenylmethylthioglycolic acid were synthesized.

  2. 2.

    The cleavage of methyl ferrocenylmethyl sulfide by lithium in tetrahydrofuran was studied.
