Summary
-
1.
A study was made of the dehydrogenation of cyclohexane on catalysts, obtained by the deposition of the oxides of the rare earth elements (La, Nd, Y) on high-ash charcoals, as a function of the oxide concentration (Nd2O3, 0.2–10%) and the temperature (425–500°).
-
2.
The catalysts, containing 2–10% of the oxides of the rare earth elements, exhibit a high activity in the dehydrogenation of cyclohexane (80–90% of benzene at 500°).
