Summary
-
1.
In the interaction of dialkylphosphorous acids(Alk=CH3-, C2H5-, C3H7 -, C4H9) with acetone cyanohydrin, azeotropic mixtures of the composition (RO)2P(O)H: acetone cyanohydrin are formed. R=CH3, 0.66:1, R=C2H5, 1∶1; R=C3H7, 2∶1 and R=i-C4H9, 3∶1.

2.
Diethylphosphorous acid forms azeotropes with the cyanohydrins of cyclohexanone, formaldehyde, and butyraldehyde; with chloretone, trichloroethanol, and hexanol.
