Zusammenfassung

Bei Umsetzung von Urethan und Formaldehyd im alkalischen Medium entsteht bei längerer Kondensation ein Dimethylenäther. Bei Einwirkung von überschüssigem Formaldehyd auf Urethan und seine im alkalischen Medium entstehenden Umsetzungsprodukte sowie nachfolgender Behandlung mit Alkoholen und Säuren entstehen gemischte Acetale.
