Abstract

The following alleles at theC (albino) locus of mice were studied on eight sensory-motor tasks: agouti (C), chinchilla (c ch), himalayan (c h), extreme dilution (c e), and albino (c). Numerous variations appeared which can be categorized as those related to absence of visual pigment and those independent of visual pigment. The latter variations may more directly relate to tyrosinase activity for which this locus is responsible.
