Summary
A case of focal colonic ulcerations is presented which probably was secondary to ischemic colitis induced by oral contraceptive use. In addition, the ulcerations were misinterpreted as mural rather than mucosal lesions because of the prominent local mucosal and submucosal edema. Benign ulcer should be considered in the differential diagnosis of focal colonic lesions, especially if the patient is a young female taking oral contraceptives.
