Abstract
A variational technique is used to analyze the deformed texture of superfluid3He-A in a narrow slab subject to a perpendicular magnetic field. Specific predictions are made for the anisotropy parameters\(\langle \hat l_z^2 \rangle \) and\(\langle \hat d_z^2 \rangle \), averaged across the width.
