Lymphocytentransformationstest bei chromatallergie

Summary

The peripheral lymphocytes from 8 patients hypersensitive to potassium-dichromate and from 5 nonsensitive control patients were incubated with 10⁻⁸ and 10⁻⁹ Mol potassium-dichromate per ml culture medium in the lymphocyte transformation test (LTT). After 5 days of culture transformed blast-like cells were found in 7 of 8 cultures from the hypersensitive patients in a higher number than in control-cultures without potassium-dichromate. No transformation was found in lymphocytes from non-sensistive donors. The number of transformed cells in negative control cultures of patients suffering from acute or subacute eczema at the time of collecting blood for LTT was significantly higher than in negative control cultures of cured patients or those suffering from chronic eczema. Possible causes for this phenomenon are discussed.

Zusammenfassung

Blutlymphocyten von 8 Chromatallergikern und 5 Chromatnegativen Kontrollpersonen wurden im Lymphocytentransformationstest mit Konzentrationen von 10⁻⁸ bzw. 10⁻⁹ Mol Kaliumbichromat pro Milliliter Kulturflüssigkeit inkubiert. Während das Kaliumbichromat nach 5 Tagen Kulturdauer die Lymphocyten der Kontrollpersonen nicht transformiert hatte, wurde bei 7 der 8 Chromatallergikern eine gegenüber der eigenen negativen Kontrollkultur höhere Zahl an transformierten Zellen beobachtet. Auffällig war eine signifikant höhere Zahl an transformierten Zellen in den negativen Kontrollkulturen von Patienten, die bei der Blutabnahme akut oder subakut ekzemkrank waren, gegenüber denen, deren Ekzem abgeheilt war oder sich im chronischen Stadium befand. Mögliche Ursachen für dieses Phänomen werden diskutiert.
