Restoration of the parameters of a stratified medium

Abstract

An analytical solution is found for the frequency domain in the inverse problem of wave reflection at an absorbing layer on a homogeneous half-space in the case of normal incidence. The method of solution uses the data on the real part of the reflectivity in a limited frequency range. The minimum size of this range is discussed.
