Abstract

A study is made of the flow of a viscous incompressible liquid with helical streamlines in an infinite cylindrical tube within which a screw rotates (auger). Generalized linearized Oseen equations are derived, and one class of the exact solutions of these is identical with the corresponding class of exact solutions of the complete Navier-Stokes equations.
