Theory of self-induced separation of a turbulent boundary layer

Abstract

Plane steady flow is considered in the case of an incompressible fluid in the neighborhood of the separation point of a turbulent boundary layer. It is shown that separation takes place in a region which lies at some small distance downstream from the region of interaction.
