Abstract

The effect of a resonance radiation pulse on the gas parameters is investigated. It is assumed that the pulse duration is large enough for the diffusion and heat conduction to be taken into account. It is shown that the diffusion and heat conduction may be significantly influenced by the processes of excitation of the internal degrees of freedom of the molecules.
