Abstract

The formation of a fixed stenosis (constriction) of the trachea, one of the simplest of pulmonary pathologies from the standpoint of its physical consequences, is analyzed on the basis of simple models. In particular, it is shown when and how the minimum clear cross section of the stenosed part of the trachea can be estimated on the basis of experimental data.
