Ecdysone-induced puffing inDrosophila: A model

Abstract

In the salivary glands ofDrosophila different sets of proteins are synthesized during two successive developmental stages. This reprogramming is controlled by the hormone ecdysone. The results presented allow a proposal for its possible mode of action.
