Abstract

As an extension of earlier work2, two further approaches were made to the calculation of the vector potential due to the electron of the atom. The first made use of the formula for a point charge at a large distance from the point of interaction, while the second was based on the quantum mechanical formula for the current density. In principle the results are in accordance with those obtained previously.
