Abstract
On the basis of the semi-inversion method we obtain rigorous solution for the problem of diffraction of H-polarized waves by an echelette placed in dielectric layers. Peculiarities of formation of the scattered field due to the presence of a dielectric inclusion are shown. The main attention is paid to the study of the frequency-dependent scattering and absorbing properties of the structure. Numerical results are given.
