Methods for calculation of the fields of parametric acoustic arrays in oceanic waveguides

Abstract

Methods for calculation of the fields of parametric acoustic arrays operating in an inhomogeneous medium under regimes of low-frequency wave generation similar to the Westervelt and Berktay regimes for free space are discussed. Mode and ray representations of difference-frequency waves are used. Both plane isovelocity waveguides and refractive sound channels are investigated.
