The Dryden flow in a weakly inhomogeneous magnetic field

  • Published:
Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics Aims and scope

Abstract

A procedure of taking account of magnetic field inhomogeneity in the synthesis of axisymmetric magnetron-injector guns which produce the Dryden flow is described. The systems of self-consistent equations in the T and ρ modes of cathode emission are given. The results of solving numerically the inside and outside synthesis problems are compared with the earlier results for a homogeneous magnetic field.
